Campaign Goal for 2007 - 2008

Campaign Information:
Thanks to each and every donor to our 2006-2007 Campaign. Together we made a tremendous difference in the lives of people in Wilkes County. As we begin another year's campaign, the United Way of Wilkes County Partner Agencies once again depending on you to help them meet new and recurring need for assistance. Please, as you consider your 2007-2008 contribution, remember "We're all in this together."

In 2006 YOU helped to...

  • Provided 18,476 cases of assistance with food, shelter, emergency needs, clothing, rent, electricity, fuel, prescription drugs and other baic needs.

  • Helped meet the needs of 12,152 youth through mentoring, tutoring, food for the weekends, educational activities, summer camps and programs to boost self-esteem and to cope with abuse.

  • Met the needs of 594 physically and/or mentally disabled and emotionally fragile individuals with treatment, counseling, therapy sessions and employment.

  • Provided 83,590 meals to individuals and over 35,000 pounds of food.

  • Assisted over 650 senior citizens lead active, producive and independent lives.

  • ... and so, so very much more! Without YOU, we could not have done it.!

Working together with the United Way of Wilkes County, you were a part of this.

You may make a contribution in honor of someone you love or in memory of a loved one who has passed away. Honorarium or memorial acknowledgements will be sent to the family member(s) of your request.
